Mentor Letter Format

Mentor letter is written by anyone who wants to request a wise adviser to guide and coach on their studies, career or even personal life.

Is there any sample letter of asking for appointment with a mentor? There’s one I sent years ago to a best selling author asking him to be my mentor but in the end he accepted my offer and I become one of his apprentice.

Start your mentor letter request with the introduction of your background and show the future mentor that you have admire his piece of work.

Offer yourself to do something useful for the mentor in exchange for the opportunity of apprenticeship.

Request for a response in the end of the mentor letter and schedule a face to face discussion after he/she agree to coach you.

Dear Mr. / Mrs. (Mentor Name),

I enjoyed your recent book “Rich Mum, Poor Mum” and aspire me to walk on the road towards financial freedom.

I am an Event Manager and I found the idea in your book fascinating as it opens my mind that we shouldn’t rely on our monthly job paycheck.

Perhaps from time to time you find that arranging seminar or event for your talk is time-consuming and this is where I can help for free of charge.

Quid pro quo, I wish to learn more about the truth of financial freedom in person from you as mentor.

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

    Sincerely,
