    For most employees, recommendation letters are some of the most important documents that they will need when trying to secure new jobs. They are letters written by former direct supervisors or managers of the employee who had knowledge of the work that the employee did and the positions that they held.

    Recommendation letters mention the abilities and strengths of an employee as well as what kind of responsibilities that they held in their previous jobs. They give the prospective employee an insight of what kind of responsibilities that the employee can handle as well as whether has enough experience to handle the job.

    When you are writing a recommendation letter, it is best that you ensure that you portray the employee in a good light to give them a better chance of securing the job they want. However, you should avoid overselling the employee because it always comes out looking fake and forced.

    Make sure that you do not give false information about an employee. As a formal letter, you should ensure that you retain a professional tone throughout the whole letter.

    The letter should be able to give the prospective all the relevant information without going into too much detail. If the letter is too long the prospective employer may not go through it all and may go straight to other applicants’ letters.
