    When the management or any member of the senior management makes a mistake, it may hurt the employees. Even a company may make a move that hurts one of its employees. In that case, an official apology has to be made. This is when an apology letter to employee is written.

    Introduction

    You need to start off the letter by introducing yourself. Let the reader know who you are by giving your name and perhaps, contact details.

    Apology

    In this section, you let the reader know that you regret the mistake and you are apologetic. You can also decide to tell the employee how the mistake has affected your company or institution.

    Plans

    Inform the reader what plans you have in place to rectify the mistake. Let the reader see that you are determined to ensure that the mistake does not happen again. This is to promote good working relations between the employers and the employees.

    Suggestion

    In this section, you give the reader your opinion on what you think can be done. This should be aimed at moving things forward by resolving the matter and to start things afresh after the apology.
